Demure in Black

Well not too bad its only been 10 days after my last post. Shall we have a mini celebration involving a nerdy fist punch to the sky! We’re making small small progress round here. A fantastic lesson I learned listening to Steven Furtick is to celebrate the small wins so that it may fuel you for the rest of your journey. Adopting this mentality helps instil motivation and appreciation which we all don't give ourselves enough credit for.

With that said let's delve into my first summery edition to the blog. I know what you may be thinking  of today's outfit…whose rocking black in this heatwave?!? Usually I would side with you or you may ask if I'm mourning a death in the family, thankfully not we rebuke that one!

Black is classic and sophisticated in any woman or mans wardrobe. As we all know black is very forgiving especially for someone like me whose not been beach body ready from December 2016. Perhaps this asymmetric, gravity defying skirt from H&M will do the trick!

Its a flirty piece that comes above the belly button therefore disguising any lunch babies or stomach bulge. I bought this while visiting my friend in Wales and indulged in some epic retail sales. It was formally retailed at £29 and I got for only £7 which is beyond worth while. It is personally one of my favourite pieces in my closet because it makes a statement while being understated and demure. I often wear it to work as well as fun late night festivities.

I paired it with a equally sophisticated off shoulder top with a deep fold from New Look, which I also bought on sale for £4. The elastane material hugs you in all the right places, providing a favourable slimmer figure that accentuates the shoulders.

Its not every day must I wear deep cleavage to have my chest overflow. I understand if you’ve got it FLAUNT IT! However flaunting your shoulders is just as attractive.

Finally I’m wearing these scrumptious strappy heels from Primarni (PRIMARK) for £6, which are ridiculously comfortable  whilst complimenting my stylish silver faux snake-skin clutch from New Look. I bought it for £4-6. My friends regularly threaten to steal it from me! I don't blame them its gorgeous and C-H-EEE-A-P!!

Hope you loved today's look as much as I did! Until next time fashion friends x
